About the course

If you are applying directly from high school, you must enter into a foundationalqualifying first year of Engineering. This first-year curriculum is designed to give you a solid foundation of understanding and introduce you to the vast opportunities available within engineering. You’ll not only increase your academic capacity; you’ll also discover how you can shape your future career. First year classes include calculus, chemistry, physics, linear algebra, mechanics, and computer programming, alongside hands-on labs and interactive seminars. Students will also take two collaborative classes focused on the engineering profession and professional development (ENGG 100: Success in Engineering; ENGG 160: Introduction to Engineering Design, Communication, and Profession). Following your foundationalqualifying first year, you will be able to enter into one of the following degree programs, with the choice between traditional or co-operative (co-op) education routes.
